At Red Thread Studio we understand the value of your privacy and take data protection very seriously.
If you have attended one of our screenings, please note that we only collect personal data supplied by you via email or through our RSVP booking system. Any personal data supplied to us in this way will only be used to communicate directly with you. We will not sell, share, trade or license any of your personal information to others.
The data is collected for the purpose of managing our screenings and events, and does include emailing you with booking confirmations, screening reminders and feedback requests. We are also required to provide our venues (cinemas) with doorlists for each event containing only your first and last name and the number of seats you have booked. It does NOT contain any personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers or other information provided by you.
Red Thread Studio treats all information it collects with strict confidence and has NO affiliation with any other organisation or body for the purpose of sharing such information.
We reserve the right to disclose your information if requested by the police or any regulatory or Government authority in connection with any investigations concerning your activities while visiting this site, using our online booking system or attending one of our events.
While we make all reasonable efforts to safeguard the security of your information, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the security of data transmissions over the internet.
Red Thread Studio does not send bulk e-mail messages, or 'Spam' and we only communicate with our current members to confirm bookings, send screening reminders or to request feedback once a screening has been attended. We may, on occasion, send a group e-mail to all members when a new film is releasing and we have an offer of seats or prizes to giveaway. If you believe you have received bulk e-mail from us, or have received a suspicious e-mail that appears to be fraudulent, contact us immediately and we will investigate the matter. If you do not wish to receive further e-mail communications from us, please send an email to screenings@redthreadstudio.com.au with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject heading. We will endeavour to unsubscribe you within 24 hours and send you a confirmation.
FEEDBACK
From time to time we will request feedback from you regarding a film or an event you have attended. Providing such feedback is not compulsory but is greatly appreciated. Once received, we may pass on your feedback to the film’s distributor, but with only your first name and location (state). All e-mail messages received from you are otherwise kept completely confidential and are never shared with third parties without your express permission, unless required by law enforcement.
